Create Compelling Competitions with instaGiv
Everyone loves a good contest. There’s such excitement when you enter and you get that dizzy confidence when somehow you manage to come out on top.
There’s no reason why your charity can’t harness that enthusiasm when it comes to raising money.
Using instaGiv’s text Competitions Feature you can create your own competitions as a way of reaching new donors.
Setting Up a Competition
Our Competitions Feature allows customers to create and customise their own competitions.
You can choose when the competition begins and ends, as well as how many entrants – and winners – there can be.
You can also personalise automatic responses to texts that acknowledge competition entries and thank people for their donations.
There are two types of competition for you to choose from.
First someone can text a keyword to a short code to have the chance of winning a prize randomly.
Or, the competition could require entrants to answer a question (A, B or C) along with their keyword.
Picking Competition Winners
You can also set up the competitions so that the system will automatically choose winners for you.
The ‘Pick a Winner’ mechanism will generate 3 random supporters to be the winner of your competition.
Then your happy winners will be notified. If they’re willing to send in a few celebration photos, you can make good use of them in further marketing.
All you need to worry about is picking a good prize!
Collecting Donations from a Competition
Competitions can also be used to collect donations. However, there are some regulations that must be considered if you plan to do this.
Charities cannot charge directly for competition entry as all donations must be voluntary.
Instead, you can set up your competition, so that a potential supporter gets an text asking them for an optional donation at a later date.
All of instaGiv’s competitions also give supporters the option to cancel their donations within a scheduled timeframe.
